If I follow the idea of the Goddess Anat in a way of prehistoric or very ancient motives from the Middle East, I take this one which is a remodeling of a prehistoric necklace which was restored in Israel from finds relating to cavemen. One of the archeologists here in Israel restored a very special necklace made of different shells which were found in one of the caves under the Carmel Mountain and created a necklace around the neck which combined pipe-like shells together with ivory-carved forms who created this form as you can see here in a way of male or female or masculine or feminine parts – either the woman’s breasts or the man’s genitals. But I took this motive to capture the fertility symbol from that very ancient restored shell necklace. And by this I relate myself to this ancient motive of the Goddess Anat as we have seen before, although the Goddess Anat is not as early as this prehistoric design.
