Description: Tiger eye bead necklace (44-48cm adjustable) with Tibet Silver beads and a Psalms verse pendant. It is a round coin-style amulet (2.5 diameter) embossed with an inscripture in Hebrew. It is a verse part (in Hebrew) from Psalms 23: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;" In the 23rd Psalm in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, the writer (David) describes God as his Shepherd. As the Shepherd, He will protect, provide, and guide us. If we are in danger of a strong enemy, He will protect us; if we are in danger of famine, He will provide us with enough food; He leads us and guides us where we will be safe, where there is abundant life. The text, beloved by Jews and Christians alike, has often been set to music.

It is believed that Tiger Eye gemstone can protect the one who wears it from intestinal illnesses, cowardliness, slow-mindedness, and stupidity. In ancient times it was also believed that the stone can protect from the Evil eye. Tiger Eye was also called "The Independence Stone." It was supposed to help those who wore it to be more independent, but this also had negative consequences. It would occasionally lead to the brake up of partnerships and divorce.
According to an Arab tradition, when a husband is about to embark on a long journey, he offers his wife a milky drink into which he puts a Tiger eye talisman. The purpose of this is to protect his wife from getting pregnant if she betrays him while he is absent. In this case the Tiger eye serves as a contraceptive method. Symbolically, the husband is using the Eye of the Tiger to "watch" his wife while he is away.
