code: Hamsa wall decoration 1214
Description: This Hamsa is designed for hanging on the wall or as a mobile from the home ceiling or even in a car, bus or truck. The Hamsa hand is believed to have the power to ward off the Evil eye - jealousy and envy. This Hamsa design begins at the top with a decorated ring which is the point of suspension. Then there is a dove charm - a symbol of peace. The hamsa itself is metallic and measures 12 by 9cm. On the top and across are written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Josef and Benjamin. Below that there is a matrix embedded with twelve Swarovski crystals of different colors: white, silver, brown, light blue, yellow, green, red, light purple, dark pink, blue, bright pink and sky blue. These symbolise the twelve tribes of Israel like in the gemstone Breast plates that the High Priests of Israel used to wear. Two lions are holding the breastplate. In Genesis, the patriarch Jacob ("Israel") refers to his son Judah as a Gur Aryeh, a "Young Lion" (Genesis 49:9) when blessing him. Under the breastplate a blessing for the home is inscribed: "May your home be blessed with love and warmth and friendship. May this home be blessed with peace, joy, happiness, and Shalom." Under that is inscribed a Star of David. On both sides of the Home Blessing are images of grape clusters or grape vines - important symbols in Judaism. On the fruit of the vine-wine Jews make Kiddush, sanctifying the holy Sabbath and Festivals, and make a Blessing over a cup of wine at all festive occasions in Jewish life, such as a Brith and a wedding.

code: Pomegranite - Rimon wall hanging 1217
Description: This Rimon - pomegranite (7 by 7cm, not including the cord) mobile can be hung using the leather cord attached to it. The rimon is embedded with bright red Swarovski crystals reminding of the pomegranite's red seeds which are it's fruit and the edible part. At the top there is an inscripture in Hebrew: "Rimon." This pomegranite is designed in a way that a part of it's outer shell is removed and the interrior of it is revealed, exposing the inner seeds, thus giving it a three dimensional look. According to Jewish tradition, the pomegranate symbolizes righteousness, due to the fact that it supposedly has 613 seeds (some do, some don't), and those seeds are attributed to the 613 mitzvot/commandments of the Torah. The pomegranate also symbolized fruitfulness. It is one of the Seven Species spoken about in the Torah (Exodus 28:33-34). The Seven Species are: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, and dates. quote from http://jewwishes.wordpress.com/2008/09/25/jew-wishes-on-pomegranates-and-jewish-tradition/
