Black leather cord with a metallic oval shaped amulet. The bottom part of the amulet looks like a piece in the shape of a Hamsa has been cut away from it. The Hamsa is an Evil Eye protection talisman used not only by Jews but also by other cultures in many parts of the world, including India and South America. The amulet is also inscribed with a verse part from Shir Hamaalot (Psalm 121) - a famous song from Tehilim - Psalms. According to Kabbalah, it is customary to have a copy of Psalm 121 in the delivery room during labor and at the time of birth. These holy passages arouse God's mercy for an easy birth and delivery.
