Protect your baby from the Evil Eye

Safety pins with charms to hang on baby strollers or carriages for good luck and Evil Eye protection

To protect oneself from the Evil eye - jealousy, envy, curse, disease or jinx, accidents and misfortunes - for thousands of years people have used different methods. One of the most common is to carry or wear as jewelry the Hamsa amulet. The Hamsa is shaped like a hand with five fingers and can be used with the fingers facing up or down, depending on the local custom. In some cultures the Hamsa, otherwise known as Chamsa, Khamsa, Hand of Fatima, or Hand of Miriam, is portrayed with an eye in the middle of it. We can start protecting ourselves from the Evil Eye right from a young age, and for this reason Evil Eye protection baby pins where invented. They are safety pins that can be easily attached to the baby carriage or stroller, and they carry different amulets and charms, preferably cute as to amuse and appeal to the baby and not frighten him. Therefore, besides Hamsa charms dangling on the safety pin we can add charms of Teddybears, dolls, kind animals, toys, and colored beads. In this way we not only protect our baby from the Evil eye and bring him or her good luck, but we also add a decorative and amusing ornament to the baby's environment.
