It is a verse part (in Hebrew) from Psalms 23: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;" In the 23rd Psalm in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, the writer (David) describes God as his Shepherd. As the Shepherd, He will protect, provide, and guide us. If we are in danger of a strong enemy, He will protect us; if we are in danger of famine, He will provide us with enough food; He leads us and guides us where we will be safe, where there is abundant life. The text, beloved by Jews and Christians alike, has often been set to music.

The necklace is 50cm long and links can be removed to shorten it if necessary. The color is bronze - a kind of rusted looking dark green, so is the amulet. The amulet is a round (3cm) coin shaped pendant which is not entirely smooth but has a rugged and bumpy surface as if worn and bent over time. On it is a relief of a Star of David.

Description: 50cm long 6mm thick matt bronze toned necklace with a matching color bronze toned oval shaped antique styled amulet (4.5 by 4cm). It looks like an imitation of a very old Jewish coin, perhaps hundreds of years old. One side shows a Menorah and is inscribed with the name "Jerusalem," both in Hebrew and English. The other side has an image of a lion with some ancient alphabet around it. The amulet is heavy and has a rough appearance, as if worn out over a long period of time.
